April 22 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 1930 GMT on Tuesday.

* denotes new or updated item:

* BAGHDAD - A rocket attack in eastern Baghdad killed six people and wounded 10, police said.

* BASRA - A U.S. Marine was killed by a roadside bomb in the southern city of Basra on Monday, the U.S. military said. One Marine was wounded in the attack.

* BAQUBA - U.S. forces killed six gunmen in a firefight in Kalaf Al-Hasun village in Diyala province on Monday, the U.S. military said.

* BAGHDAD - Police found three bodies in Baghdad.

* BAGHDAD - A female suicide bomber killed eight people and wounded 17 when she blew herself up north of Baghdad, Iraqi police said. They said the attack took place outside a police station in Diyala province.

RAMADI - Two U.S. Marines were killed and three Marines, two Iraqi police and 24 Iraqi civilians were wounded when a suicide car bomb blew up at a checkpoint near Ramadi, 110 km (68 miles) west of Baghdad, the U.S. military said.

BAGHDAD - A car bomb targeting an Iraqi army patrol detonated in the al-Mansour district of western Baghdad, killing one and wounding two, police said.

SALAHUDDIN PROVINCE - U.S. and Iraqi forces killed one militant, detained 23 suspects and discovered homemade explosives in a series of operations in Salahuddin province, north of Baghdad, on Monday and Tuesday targeting al Qaeda, the U.S. military said.

MOSUL - A car bomb killed two people, including a soldier, and wounded 20 people when it exploded near a provincial government building in Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

BASRA - An aide to Iraq's top Shi'ite cleric Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, died on Monday of wounds sustained a week ago in a drive-by shooting in Basra, 550 km (340 miles) southeast of Baghdad, police said.

BAGHDAD - Gunmen wounded a reporter and cameraman from local television station Biladi and their driver on Monday in a drive-by shooting in the Zayouna district of eastern Baghdad, the Journalistic Freedoms Observatory, a Baghdad-based independent organisation, said.

BASRA - The Iraqi army and police clashed with militants in northern Basra, Abdul-Karim Khalaf, the interior ministry spokesman, told Reuters. There were no reports of casualties.

MOSUL - Gunmen killed a lawyer on Monday when they stormed his house in Mosul, police said.

BAGHDAD - Four people have been killed and 40 wounded in Sadr City since Monday morning, hospital and police officials said.

RAMADI - Twenty people were wounded, including seven women and six policemen when a water-tanker laden with explosives detonated near a police station in Ramadi, said Major-General Tariq al-Thyabi, police commander for Anbar province.

BAGHDAD - U.S. soldiers in an M1 Abrams tank and Bradley fighting vehicle killed three militants late on Monday after a U.S. route clearance vehicle was hit by an improvised explosive device, the U.S. military said.

BAGHDAD - A U.S. Apache helicopter fired a Hellfire missile late on Monday at gunmen in Sadr City, eastern Baghdad, who were carrying rocket-propelled grenade launchers, killing two, the U.S. military said.

BAGHDAD - A U.S. air strike killed two militants firing on U.S. troops on Monday morning in New Baghdad district of eastern Baghdad, the U.S. military said on Tuesday.

BAGHDAD - A U.S. drone aircraft fired a Hellfire missile at a vehicle loaded with RPGs and AK47s, killing two militants in New Baghdad on Monday, the U.S. military said on Tuesday.

BAGHDAD - U.S. forces killed two armed militants after they attacked a U.S. observation post in Sadr city, eastern Baghdad, the U.S. military said on Tuesday.
