GAZA, Aug 23 (Reuters) - An Israeli aircraft fired a missile into the Gaza Strip on Thursday causing an unknown number of casualities, Hamas officials said.

Officials from the Islamist group Hamas said there were casualties but it was unclear how many. The Israeli army was checking the report.
