BAGHDAD, April 24 (Reuters) - Nine U.S. soldiers were killed on Monday in a suicide bomb attack near their base in Iraq's Diyala province, a U.S. military statement said early on Tuesday.

Twenty other U.S. soldiers and one Iraqi civilian were wounded when a vehicle driven by the suicide bomber blew up, the statement said.
