CAIRO, Nov 25 (Reuters) - At least four Egyptians were shot dead and six others wounded in a gunfight between police and suspected drug dealers on Sunday on the outskirts of Port Said on Egypt's Mediterranean coast, security sources said. The sources said the gunfight broke out at dawn when police tried to arrest several men wanted on charges of drug dealing and weapons possession in a town on the outskirts of Port Said, at the northern entrance of the Suez Canal. The wanted men saw the police and opened fire, the security sources said. Police then returned fire, killing four and injuring six. Security sources said at least two of the dead were wanted by the police. But there was conflicting information about the identities of the other two. Several security sources said they were also wanted by police on drugs charges, but one source said they were innocent bystanders. (Writing by Cynthia Johnston)
