SANAA, March 26 (Reuters) - The number of people killed by landslides in Yemen has risen to 27, government officials said on Monday, after three days of heavy storms damaged homes and farmland in one of the poorest Arab countries.

The heavy rain, which began on Friday, has triggered landslides in the southern provinces of Hadramout and Mahaweet and the eastern province of Marib.

Twelve people were reported killed by storms and landslides on Saturday.
