Kazakh president sacks son-in-law Aliyev

ALMATY, May 26 (Reuters) - Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev on Saturday sacked his son-in-law Rakhat Aliyev from the post of the Central Asian state's ambassador to Austria, the Kazinform state news agency reported.

Earlier in the day Aliyev accused the Kazakh leader of trying to silence him after he declared his intention to run for the presidency.
