BAGHDAD, July 29 (Reuters) - A vehicle curfew would be imposed across Baghdad in a bid to avert attacks on fans celebrating Iraq's appearance in the Asian Cup soccer final on Sunday, Iraqi military officials said.

Baghdad's chief military spokesman Brigadier General Qassim Moussawi said the curfew would be imposed from 4 p.m. (1200 GMT) until 6 a.m. Monday (0200 GMT). The final against Saudi Arabia begins in Jakarta later on Sunday.

A woman takes a picture of the collapsed section of the I-35W bridge in Minneapolis, Minnesota August 3, 2007. Politicians trying to account for one of the worst bridge collapses in U.S. history cast blame ranging from engineering faults to the Iraq war on Friday, while divers tried to reach the bodies of more victims in the Mississippi River's treacherous waters.
