April 28 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 0600 GMT on Saturday:

MAHMUDIYA - Gunmen killed a former member of the Baath party on the road between Mahmudiya, 30 km (20 miles) south of Baghdad, and Yusufiya on Friday, police said.

MAHMUDIYA - A handcuffed and blindfolded corpse was found dumped on the outskirts of Mahmudiya on Friday, police said.

BAGHDAD - A mortar round landed in northwestern Shula district in Baghdad, wounding two people on Friday, police said.

NAHRAWAN - A roadside bomb killed one person and wounded another in Naharwan, 30 km (20 miles) south of Baghdad, on Friday, police said.

BAGHDAD - Seven bodies were found in Baghdad in the past 24 hours, the interior ministry said.

MOSUL - Sixteen bodies were found around Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, in the past 24 hours, police said.

MOSUL - The deserted house of Brigadier Saed Ahmed was blown up by militants on Friday, police said.

MAHAWEEL - One dead body was found shot in the head on Friday in Mahaweel, 75 km (50 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.
