Dec 28 (Reuters) - A British soldier was killed and three others hurt on Wednesday, when a blast caused their vehicle to crash near Garm Seer in Helmand province in southern Afghanistan, NATO said on Thursday.

The death brings to 44 the number of British troops killed in Afghanistan since the war to oust the Taliban in 2001.

Here are the latest figures for foreign military deaths in Afghanistan since the Taliban government was toppled in 2001:

NATO/U.S.-LED COALITION FORCES:

United States 358

Britain 44

Canada 44

Spain 19

Germany 18

Other nations 34

TOTAL: 517

About 3,800 people, most of them militants but including civilians, Afghan troops, aid workers and more than 180 foreign soldiers, have been killed in fighting in 2006.
