NAIVASHA, Kenya, Jan 29 (Reuters) - Crowds ransacked homes and burned the belongings of people fleeing Naivasha town on Tuesday in Kenya's Rift Valley where scores have died in vicious ethnic clashes, witnesses said.

Plumes of smoke rose from different parts of the lakeside town, about an hour's drive north of Nairobi, as members of the Kikuyu tribe of President Mwai Kibaki hunted down Luos, Luhyas and Kalenjins thought to be opposition supporters. (Reporting by David Lewis; Writing by Andrew Cawthorne)
