BAGHDAD, Dec 30 (Reuters) - A car bomb in the Shi'ite city of Kufa in southern Iraq killed 30 people on Saturday, an Interior Ministry source said.

The blast in a market in Kufa, one of the holiest cities in Iraq for majority Shi'ites, wounded 45 people, the source said.

No other details were immediately available about the blast, which took place a few hours after former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein was executed in Baghdad.
