Nov 4 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 1400 GMT on Wednesday.

* TIKRIT, Iraq - A U.S. soldier died of combat injuries on Wednesday, the U.S. military said in a statement from a base in Tikrit, 150 km (95 miles) north of Baghdad. The U.S. military gave no further details.

BAGHDAD - Five mortar bombs hit the main U.S. base in Baghdad on Tuesday wounding seven U.S. servicemen. Six returned to duty and one was still under care, the U.S. military said.

MOSUL - U.S. forces killed one suspected militant and arrested three others in a joint raid with Iraqi security forces northwest of Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, the U.S. military said in a statement.

MAHMUDIYA - A car bomb wounded four civilians in Mahmudiya, about 30 km (20 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.

BAGHDAD - A bomb attached to a car wounded three Iraqi soldiers and two civilians when it struck near an army checkpoint in Baghdad's northern district of Adhamiya, police said.

BAGHDAD - A bomb attached to a car wounded seven civilians in west Baghdad, police said.

BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb wounded two policemen and two civilians when it hit a police patrol in northern Baghdad, police said.

BAGHDAD - Militants planted a bomb in a police officer's house killing him, his wife and his daughter in Abu Ghraib district of western Baghdad, police said.
