Fourteen killed as Slovak bus crashes in Croatia

(Adds death toll rises, details) ZAGREB, Sept 7 (Reuters) - As many as 14 people died when a Slovak bus crashed on Sunday on the main Croatian highway connecting the capital Zagreb and the Adriatic city of Split, state radio reported citing hospital sources. The bus, carrying 49 people and travelling from the Slovak city of Kosice towards the Adriatic coast, hit a highway flyover pillar some 190 km (120 miles) south of Zagreb. The cause of the accident is under investigation, the state radio said. Some 20 passengers were severely injured in the accident out of which five people are in critical condition, it said.
