Feb 12 (Reuters) - A French officer and an Afghan interpreter were killed in an ambush south of Kabul on Wednesday, an army official said, in a reminder of the risks facing the NATO mission amid a debate over troop reinforcements.

Here are figures for foreign military deaths as a result of violence or accidents in Afghanistan since 2001:
