Sarkozy says no alternative to EU climate deal

BRUSSELS, Dec 11 (Reuters) - French President Nicolas Sarkozy called on Thursday for European Union leaders to overcome differences and reach a deal on a package of measures aimed at tackling global warming.

"Europe has no choice other to reach agreement," Sarkozy told reporters ahead of a two-day summit in Brussels. (Reporting by Julien Toyer; editing by Ralph Boulton)
