* NINEVEH PROVINCE - A roadside bomb killed a U.S. soldier and wounded two on Monday in Nineveh province whose capital, Mosul, is 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, the U.S. military said in a statement.

* MOSUL - A roadside bomb wounded two Iraqi soldiers when it struck their patrol in western Mosul, police said.

* MOSUL - Iraqi police found the bodies of two men killed by strangulation in southeastern Mosul on Monday, police said.
