BISSAU, Nov 23 (Reuters) - Mutinous soldiers opened fire late on Saturday on the home of Guinea-Bissau's President Joao Bernardo "Nino" Vieira just over a day after parliamentary election results were announced, Senegalese President Abdoulaye Wade said on Sunday.

"I had a telephone call from President Joao Bernardo Vieira who told me there were soldiers in front of his house who were firing ... at his house," Wade told Radio France International, adding he had ordered soldiers to Senegal's border with Guinea-Bissau.

The overnight shooting by the soldiers followed the announcement on Friday that Guinea-Bissau's former ruling PAIGC party had won a clear parliamentary majority in polls held in the former Portuguese colony on Nov. 16. (Reporting by Alberto Dabo; Writing by Pascal Fletcher)
