Palestinians say Israel to open Gaza crossings

GAZA, Dec 23 (Reuters) - Israel will open two of its border crossings with the Gaza Strip on Wednesday to allow in shipments of humanitarian aid and commercial goods, a Palestinian official said on Tuesday after consulting with Israeli counterparts. Raed Fattouh, coordinator of supplies for the Hamas-ruled coastal territory, spoke to Reuters after the Islamist faction said it was examining a possible return to an Egyptian-brokered truce which collapsed on Friday.
