FACTBOX-Military deaths in Afghanistan

Aug 25 (Reuters) - A Danish soldier died of his wounds on Monday after his vehicle was hit by an improvised explosive device, Danish Army Central Command said.

Denmark has about 550 combat troops in Afghanistan. Twelve have died in combat so far and three others were killed while trying to dismantle a mine. One other died in an accident and one committed suicide.

Here are figures for foreign military deaths as a result of violence or accidents in Afghanistan since the Taliban government was toppled in 2001:
