June 1, (Reuters) - At least 17,564 people have been confirmed infected with the new H1N1 flu strain in 64 countries.

Bulgaria confirmed on Monday its first case of H1N1 flu, in a man who had recently returned from the United States, the Health Ministry said.

Here are some details about the spread of the virus:

DEATH TOLL: 115

CONFIRMED CASES: The number of confirmed cases of H1N1 is 17,564 in 64 countries. The World Health Organisation includes Taiwan and Hong Kong in China for its country tally.
