BAGHDAD, Nov 10 (Reuters) - Three American soldiers were killed in two separate incidents in Iraq, the military said on Friday.

Two soldiers from the Military Police were killed in Baghdad on Thursday when their vehicle was blasted by a roadside bomb. A third was wounded.

A Marine also died of wounds on Thursday following combat in Anbar province, where Sunni rebels are fighting in the west.

The deaths brought the total of U.S. troops killed in Iraq to 2,842. Twenty-four were killed in the first nine days of November. In October, 105 were killed, the deadliest month in nearly two years.

President George W. Bush is reassessing his strategy following his Republican party's loss of both houses of Congress at elections this week that showed voter discontent on Iraq.

Makereta Cagi holds a photograph of her late husband as she speaks about him in her house in Fiji's capital Suva November 7, 2006. Iosefo Cagi was killed while driving a supply truck in Iraq on April 18, 2006, where he earned around US$2,500 a month, compared to just FJ$600 (US$350) when he was in the Fijian army. Many Fijians are seeking work overseas in an effort to support their families as the cost of living in the South Pacific nation of just 900,000 people continues to increase at a rapid rate.
