MANILA, June 25 (Reuters) - The Philippine coast guard has found about 50 bodies floating around 100 km (62 miles) north of a capsized ferry in the centre of the archipelago, a spokesman said on Wednesday.

Lieutenant-Colonel Edgard Arevalo said they could not yet confirm if the corpses were from the Princess of the Stars, which capsized in a typhoon on Saturday with 865 passengers and crew on board.

More than 700 people are still missing from the vessel. (Editing by David Fogarty)
