Oct 11 (Reuters) - Following are security incidents reported in Iraq on Tuesday, Oct. 11, as of 1200 GMT. U.S. and Iraqi forces are battling a Sunni Arab insurgency against the Shi'ite and Kurdish-led government in Baghdad. BAGHDAD - Initial reports from police said more than 25 people were killed when a suicide car bomber attacked an Iraqi Army patrol in the western Amiriya district of Baghdad. TAL AFAR - At least 24 people were killed and 36 wounded when a suicide car bomber exploded in a market in the northern Iraqi city of Tal Afar, an Interior Ministry source said. BAGHDAD - U.S. forces killed two insurgents and detained 57 suspects during early morning searches in south Baghdad, a U.S. military statement said. TIKRIT - Police said a U.S. army patrol found three bodies in civilian clothes with multiple gunshot wounds on Monday in al-Tarisha village near Samarra, 100 km (62 miles) north of Baghdad. TIKRIT - Police lieutenant Soud Abdul Kareem was killed on Monday when a roadside bomb exploded near his house in the town of Tikrit, 175 km (110 miles) north of Baghdad, a police source said.
