Hurricane Felix strengthens into Category 3 storm

MIAMI, Sept 2 (Reuters) - Hurricane Felix intensified into a "major" Category 3 hurricane on Sunday as it churned over the warm waters of the Caribbean, aimed at Central America or Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, U.S. weather forecasters said.
