Center-leftist Colom close to Guatemala vote win

GUATEMALA CITY, Nov 4 (Reuters) - Center-left candidate Alvaro Colom was close to winning Guatemala's presidential election on Sunday, holding a 4.5-point lead over a retired general with most votes counted.

Colom, had 52 percent of the vote while rightist Gen. Otto Perez Molina, a former head of military intelligence, had almost 48 percent after votes from 82 percent of polling stations were counted.
