Eight miners killed in Colombian mine blast

(Updates with details on deaths) BOGOTA, Feb 6 (Reuters) - An explosion at a Colombian coal mine killed eight workers just three days after another deadly mining blast killed more than 30 people, emergency officials said on Tuesday. The gas explosion on Tuesday at the La Capilla mine in Boyaca province north of Bogota caused a collapse leaving four miners and four rescuers trapped in the mine, officials said. "We already have two bodies outside and the others have been located. They are working to bring them to the surface," Civil Defense Maj. Angelico Bustos told Reuters by telephone from the site of the explosion. One woman had been rescued, but later died in the hospital. Over the weekend, 32 miners were killed in an explosion at a coal mine in the northeastern Norte de Santander province, near the border with Venezuela, when combustible gas ignited. It was one of the country's worst mining disasters.
