Moderate quake sways buildings in Chilean capital

(Adds magnitude, location in second paragraph) SANTIAGO, Aug 8 (Reuters) - A moderate earthquake shook the Chilean capital Santiago in the midmorning on Wednesday, causing tall buildings in the city center to sway. The magnitude 5.0 quake occurred at 10:14 a.m. (1414 GMT) just off the Pacific coast of Chile, 47 miles (75 kilometers) from the port city of Valparaiso, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The USGS also said the quake was located 88 miles (141 kilometers) from Santiago and 158 miles (254 kilometers) from the Argentine city of Mendoza. There were no immediate reports of damages.
