Suspicious package probed at U.S. emergency agency

WASHINGTON, Sept 8 (Reuters) - A leaking, smelly package in the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency mail room forced an evacuation of the headquarters building, a fire department official said on Monday. Washington, D.C., fire department spokesman Alan Etter said an X-ray of the package showed a need for further investigation, and a hazardous materials team was taking air samples. "Nobody is injured, nobody is sick," Etter said. (Reporting by Randall Mikkelsen)
