VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Oct 9 (Reuters) - Two people were killed when a military aircraft crashed on Thursday at the Saskatchewan base that is home of Canada's Snowbirds aerobatic squadron, Canadian media reported on Thursday.

Details were sketchy but the CT-114 Tutor jet trainer was reportedly being used to photograph other aircraft, and went down in a field near the Canadian Forces base in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, CTV television reported.

The Snowbirds fly the Tutor aircraft in their shows, but the squadron's website said they were scheduled to be performing this week at air shows in California. (Reporting Allan Dowd, editing by Rob Wilson)
