HAVANA, Nov 9 (Reuters) - Storm Paloma was downgraded to a tropical depression with top winds of 35 miles per hour (55 kph) as it stalled over Cuba, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said on Sunday.

At 4 a.m. (2100 GMT), its center was located 15 miles (25 km) south-southwest of the eastern central city of Camaguey and moving just one mile per hour (2 kph) to the north, the Miami-based center said.

Paloma came ashore in Cuba on Saturday as a Category 3 hurricane on the five-step Saffir-Simpson intensity scale with winds of 120 mph (195 kph).
