VANCOUVER, British Columbia, April 12 (Reuters) - Environmental officials investigating a derailment that polluted a Pacific coast river raided three Canadian National Railway Co. <CNR.TO> offices on Thursday, the railroad said. The federal and provincial investigators executed search warrants on an office near Vancouver and in Prince George, British Columbia and Edmonton, Alberta, and the railroad is cooperating, CN spokesman Jim Feeny said. Provincial officials confirmed the raid. Feeny said CN was told the search involved the August 2005 derailment of a train in the Cheakamus Canyon north of Vancouver that dumped toxic material into the river and killed thousands of salmon and trout. Environmentalists have warned the damage to the river could be long term.
