Castro informally taking back governing role-Chavez

CARACAS, April 13 (Reuters) - Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said on Friday Cuban leader Fidel Castro had almost entirely recovered from last year's intestinal surgery and had informally taken back a "good part" of governing duties on the island.

Police remove a group of citizens from the Congress in Valparaiso, west of Santiago, June 6, 2007. The group was demonstrating against the Senate's approval of a petition to present to the Cuban government against political persecution and imprisonment on ideological grounds in the island nation.The group consisted of socialist sympathizers and parents whose children are studying in Cuba.
