DOE says 2.6 million without power in Texas, La.

WASHINGTON, Sept 13 (Reuters) - There were 2,602,045 customers without electricity in the wake of Hurricane Ike as of Saturday morning, the U.S. Energy Department said. That number includes 2,383,062 without power in Texas and 218,983 customers in Louisiana. (Reporting by Tom Doggett; Editing by Doina Chiacu)
