U.S. says four Lebanese killed in Beirut blast

WASHINGTON, Jan 15 (Reuters) - The U.S. State Department said on Tuesday that four Beirut residents were killed in a bomb blast in the Lebanese capital and that a local driver for the U.S. Embassy was slightly injured. "There were no American diplomats or American citizens in the car at the time. There were four Beirut residents who do not work for the embassy who were killed in the blast," said State Department spokesman Sean McCormack. He said the driver of the U.S. vehicle was slightly injured.
