Aftershock of 6.0 magnitude hits Peru -USGS

LIMA, Aug 17 (Reuters) - An aftershock with a preliminary magnitude of 6.0 hit Peru south of its capital Lima on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said two days after a powerful 8.0 magnitude earthquake rocked the same area. A Reuters witness said there were no immediate reports in Lima of damages or injuries from the aftershock, centered about 90 miles (145 km) south of the capital on the coast.
