Hurricane Bertha becomes storm again in Atlantic

MIAMI, July 19 (Reuters) - Hurricane Bertha weakened back into a tropical storm on Saturday as it moved toward distant Iceland over the open Atlantic, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said.

The top sustained winds of the first hurricane of the 2008 Atlantic storm season had slipped to 70 mph (110 kph), the Miami-based center said at 11 p.m. EDT (0300 GMT). (Reporting by Michael Christie, Editing by John O'Callaghan)
