NEW YORK, Dec 26 (Reuters) - Several floors of a building under construction in New York collapsed on Tuesday, causing "multiple injuries," a spokeswoman for the city's fire department said.

"We know that there are multiple injuries," the spokeswoman said. "The building was under construction. It was a multistory building."
