Military jet crashes in Indiana; no injuries

(Recasts, adds plane's base) CHICAGO, May 30 (Reuters) - A military jet crashed in rural Indiana on Wednesday but the pilot escaped and there were no injuries on the ground, officials said. The Knox County Sheriff's Office said the jet went down south of the town of Vincennes at mid-morning with no injuries. The 131st Fighter Wing of the Missouri Air National Guard said the aircraft was part of its fleet, based at Lambert Field in St. Louis, and was engaged in a training exercise at the time.
