RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug 30 (Reuters) - Two suburban trains collided in the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro on Thursday, and rescue services said several people were killed and others hurt.

"There are several corpses and several people injured," a fire brigade spokesman said.

Firefighters said two of the dead were members of the train crew.

GloboNews television showed footage of the wreckage with at least one carriage lying on its side and rescue workers trying to take people out.
