BEIJING, March 16 (Reuters) - A bus crash in southwestern China has killed 14 people and injured 12, state media reported on Friday.

A minibus carrying 26 people in Yunnan province overturned on Thursday night and fell into a bamboo-covered valley, Xinhua news agency said, citing local police.

Rescuers said 10 of the 26 passengers died immediately and four died in hospital.

On Thursday morning, 22 people were killed when a bus veered off a highway and plunged into a reservoir in China's northwestern Shaanxi province.

Nearly 99,000 people were killed in 450,000 traffic accidents in China last year, state media reported.
