BEIJING, July 14 (Reuters) - A fire gutted a furniture market near Beijing on Monday, killing at least nine people and injuring one, the official Xinhua news agency said.

Firefighters rushed to the scene in Quyang county, about 200 km (125 miles) southwest of Beijing, and put out the blaze, Xinhua said, adding that an investigation had been launched.
