China quake kills up to several thousands-Xinhua

BEIJING, May 12 (Reuters) - Up to several thousand people were killed in the earthquake that hit China's southwestern Sichuan province on Monday, the official Xinhua news agency said, citing the central government. (Reporting by Jason Subler)
