JOONGANG ILBO

- Doosan Infracore <042670.KS> is considering building a plant in India, officials said.

DONG-A ILBO

- A collection of 21 pieces by Chung Son, one of the top painters of the Chosun Kingdom, has been returned to South Korea from Germany.

KOREA TIMES

- The U.N. Environmental Programme agreed to establish its Northeast Asian branch in South Korea and create an environmental business model for North Korea, Environment Minister Lee Chi-beom said.

- The Defence Acquisition Programme Administration has chosen Samsung Thales to develop weapons and radar systems for a new fleet of 2,300-tonne frigates over the next five years, officials of the agency said.

- The number of North Koreans working for South Korean firms at a joint industrial complex in the North's border town of Kaesong now exceeds 10,000, the Unification Ministry said.

- The Pusan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority said it has signed a memorandum of understanding in Frankfurt, Germany, recently with Chokwang Jotun, a Korean-Norwegian joint venture that manufactures marine coatings, on a $29 million project to build a factory.
