SEOUL, Jan 30 (Reuters) - Ten fishermen went missing while another three were rescued after a fishing trawler sank on Wednesday in rough waters off South Korea's southern island of Jeju, a maritime official said. The 136-tonne South Korean fishing boat named 102 Soyang went down at about 6 p.m. local time (0900 GMT) about 70 km (45 miles) southwest of Jeju, said Wang Tae-hee, an official with the Jeju Maritime Police. "We have sent eight rescue vessels to the scene but our efforts are being hampered by strong winds and high waves," Wang said by telephone. The captain of the trawler and two other sailors were rescued by nearby ships. (Reporting by Lee Jin-joo; Writing by Jon Herskovitz; Editing by Jerry Norton)
