CHOSUN ILBO

- North Korea believes South Korea would soon resume its humanitarian assistance despite its nuclear test and its plans to use the South Korean aid to feed its military, a Seoul-based professor said.

KOREA TIMES

- Hynix Semiconductor <000660.KS> and Samsung Electronics <005930.KS> introduced new high-tech chips for mobile phones, which they hope will generate big profits beginning next year.

- Defence Minister Kim Jang-soo and his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kyuma will meet early next year for talks on bilateral ties, the defence ministry said.
