SEOUL, Aug 30 (Reuters) - The following is a summary of major South Korean newspapers on Thursday, prepared by Reuters in Seoul. Reuters has not checked the stories and does not guarantee their accuracy.

CHOSUN ILBO

- Samsung Electronics Co Ltd <005930.KS> said it will undergo a reorganisation of its telecommunications networks business starting Sept. 1 to increase its marketing and global sourcing capability.

DONG-A ILBO

- Shim Chin-pyo, father of Shim Sung-min, one of hostages killed by the Taliban in Afghanistan, said he wants to know to what extent the South Korean government and church that sponsored the trip is responsible for his son's death.

KOREA ECONOMIC DAILY

- Samsung Electronics Co Ltd is likely to invest in a second eighth-generation LCD production line jointly with Sony Corp <6758.T>, according to Lee Sang-wan, head of Samsung's LCD business.

- LG Philips LCD Co Ltd <034220.KS> CEO Kwon Young-soo said the company may push to combine its OLED business with LG Electronics Inc <066570.KS>.
