MAEIL BUSINESS NEWSPAPER

- LG Electronics <066570.KS> plans to introduce a touch screen cell phone next year, developed with the fashion company Prada.

KOREA ECONOMIC DAILY

- Life insurance companies could hold initial public offerings as early as the second half of 2007 following an advisory committee's findings.

KOREA TIMES

- The world's largest landfill gas power plant was completed and went into operation in Inchon, the Ministry of Environment said.

- A job fair for North Korean defectors was held at the Textiles Centre in Seoul, under the auspices of the labour and unification ministries.

- South Korea aims to drastically cut the production and use of ozone-depleting industrial substances next year in line with U.N. protocol, Yonhap news agency said.
