ISLAMABAD, July 6 (Reuters) - A blast hit a military convoy in a town in northwestern Pakistan on Friday, and between two and five soldiers were killed, army officials said. Initial reports spoke of a suicide attack but the military were investigating whether in fact the blast was due to a roadside bomb. The attack occurred in Dir town in the North West Frontier Province, near the town of Malakand, in an area where sympathy for Islamist militants is strong.
