BEIJING, July 22 (Reuters) - A coal mine flood left 56 people trapped in China's southern Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, state news agency Xinhua said.

The flood occurred at the Nadu mine in Tiandong County, Xinhua said late on Monday, citing the Guangxi Work Safety Administration.

Rescuers have so far failed to contact the miners underground, the report said. (Reporting by Kirby Chien; Editing by Valerie Lee)
