Children, teachers hurt in Japan after quake - TV

TOKYO, June 14 (Reuters) - A strong earthquake in northern Japan has injured children and teachers at a daycare centre, and some highways have been closed, Japanese television reported on Saturday.
The shallow quake with a preliminary magnitude of 7.0 jolted Japan at 8:44 a.m. (2344 GMT) on Saturday, damaging homes but without any reports so far of extensive casualties.
